What this criterion checks
Evaluates whether users can complete their primary tasks without unnecessary steps or confusion. Assesses whether the primary task is obvious as soon as the user enters a screen, whether calls to action are easy to understand, and whether the system provides enough contextual hints or labels to complete each task. Flags extra confirmations, repeated forms, and unnecessary clicks. Also evaluates whether error messages are clear and actionable, and whether navigation is predictable along frequent user paths.
How it's assessed
The agent navigates through the application following realistic user journeys, capturing screenshots at each step. Using AI-powered vision analysis, it evaluates task flows and checks whether the design provides sufficient information to support user tasks, whether the design makes it too easy for users to commit errors, and whether functionality is structured too prescriptively instead of allowing open-ended use. It also checks whether less common features are progressively disclosed, whether breaking conventions adds unnecessary cognitive load, whether multiple methods are available to accomplish tasks, and whether help content is focused on the user's actual task.
