Content is clear and easy to understand
What this criterion checks
Evaluates whether the application's content — including headings, body text, calls to action, tooltips, and labels — is easy to understand without ambiguity. Assesses whether the purpose and meaning of each element is immediately clear, whether any phrases might confuse new users, and whether text is readable in terms of font size, line spacing, and contrast. Visual design aesthetics, layout spacing, and functionality issues are excluded.
How it's assessed
The agent navigates through the application following realistic user journeys, capturing screenshots at each step. Using AI-powered vision analysis, it evaluates each page's content for clarity and comprehension. It checks whether technical terms appear without explanation, whether jargon or overly complex language is used where simpler phrasing would suffice, and whether users would need to look up word definitions to understand the interface. It also evaluates whether visual cues create ambiguity, whether error messages use technical language instead of plain language, whether help content is written from the user's perspective, and whether system-oriented terms are used instead of the user's natural language.
How reliable it is
This criterion is still building up testing data, so confirm its findings as you review. See Accuracy & confidence for how the confidence tags are set.
