What this criterion checks
Evaluates whether the application's content is free from flashing or rapidly changing visual elements that could trigger seizures or physical discomfort. Assesses all sections and interactive visual content for flashing or rapidly changing light, color, or contrast. Content that flashes more than three times per second is considered a failure. Corresponds to WCAG 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold (Level A).
How it's assessed
The agent navigates through the application following realistic user journeys, capturing screenshots at each step. Using AI-powered vision analysis, it browses through all sections and interactive visual content, watching for flashing or rapidly changing light, color, or contrast. It evaluates whether any content flashes more than three times per second, which constitutes a failure. Any content that contains flashing above this threshold is flagged as an accessibility issue.
