What this criterion checks
Evaluates whether pages that are not part of a linear process can be located through more than one method — for example, via a navigation bar and search functionality, or through a sitemap and direct links. Pages that are part of a sequential process such as a checkout flow are excluded from this requirement. Assesses whether users can find key pages without relying on memory of URLs or previous steps. Corresponds to WCAG 2.4.5 Multiple Ways (Level AA).
How it's assessed
The agent navigates through the application following realistic user journeys, capturing screenshots at each step. Using AI-powered vision analysis, it identifies key pages that are not part of a linear process and checks whether each can be reached through more than one method. It evaluates the main navigation to see if those pages are accessible from there, looks for search bars, sitemaps, and direct links as alternative paths, and confirms that users can locate each page without relying on memory of URLs or previous navigation steps.
