What this criterion checks
Evaluates whether new users can easily understand how to use the system with minimal guidance. Assesses whether descriptions provide enough context for users to take actions, whether the average user will understand where to go to complete key tasks, whether all items are helpful and guide users towards completing their tasks, and whether common actions are intuitively located. Also checks that users do not need to visit multiple application modules to complete a single flow.
How it's assessed
The agent navigates through the application following realistic user journeys, capturing screenshots at each step. Using AI-powered vision analysis, it evaluates the system's learnability and checks whether the system caters only to expert users making it difficult to learn, whether help content is focused on the user's actual task, whether system-oriented terms are used instead of user-friendly language, and whether the interface relies on recall instead of recognition. It also checks whether the design provides sufficient information to support tasks, whether help is easy to search and lists concrete steps, and whether non-contextual help requires users to mentally connect tutorials to actual use.
